Our Process
In home Consultation
A representative from our team will meet with you at your home, view your project space, and brainstorm ideas that you have for the project.
Written Estimate
You will receive a line itemized estimate of the project scope within 3 to 4 days. With your bid, you will also receive a basic drawing to illustrate the project specifications.
2D/3D Design
As a part of your bid, you have the option for a 2D blueprint design or a 3D rendering to show your project. These options provide our clients the ability to visualize the possibilities for their projects.
Construction Walthrough
Before work begins, a construction walk-through will be completed with the homeowner, project manager, and salesperson.
Work Begins
When work begins on your project, a project manager will come to your home. The project manager will be there to ensure that the project is completed according to the design provided.

Nick Liput
Founder & CEO
Nick founded Rocky Mountain Outdoor Living in 2007 and has spent the years since turning it from a small landscaping outfit into the Outdoor Living powerhouse it is today. He credits the growth to a simple formula: keep every promise made to a customer, pay close attention to the details, and build a team that genuinely believes in the mission. Nick stays hands-on across the business, and it is not unusual to find him out at a job site chatting with clients to make sure they are thrilled with their experience.

Rachel Liput
Administration Manager
Rachel keeps the Rocky Mountain Outdoor Living office running smoothly as Administration Manager. Her knack for building processes that maximize performance and keep projects on schedule helps the whole team stay organized and successful. Beyond overseeing office operations, she also handles city and HOA permitting for the company's projects.
Darby Wilcox
Senior Sales Executive
Darby leads the Sales Team as Senior Sales Executive, bringing deep knowledge of the outdoor living industry to every client conversation. He is passionate about helping homeowners find the outdoor space that truly fits how they live. A former radio host, Darby now co-hosts the Beyond the Build podcast alongside Nick Liput, helping homeowners learn how to choose the right contractor for their project.

Carpentry Superintendent
Stash Otto brings years of hands-on carpentry and construction experience to his role as Carpentry Superintendent at Rocky Mountain Outdoor Living. Originally from Minnesota, Stash has built his career around quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a commitment to getting the job done right.
At Rocky Mountain Outdoor Living, Stash oversees our carpentry projects and helps ensure each detail is built to the highest standards. His experience in the field, combined with his practical approach and dedication to craftsmanship, makes him an invaluable part of the team.
Nick Forest
Sales Operation Coordinator
A Colorado native raised in south Denver, Nick's career path has taken him from education and coaching to the wholesale energy and waste consulting world. Now on the sales team, he is excited to help homeowners create the outdoor oasis they have been dreaming of.
Jeremy Silva
Pool Technician
With more than 25 years of carpentry and construction experience, Jeremy brings extensive hands-on knowledge to his new role as Rocky Mountain Outdoor Living’s Pool Technician. After years as a Superintendent with the company, he now focuses on pool maintenance, service, and homeowner education, helping clients feel confident caring for and enjoying their pools.
Originally from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Jeremy has called Colorado home since the early 1990s.

Rachel brings over 20 years of home improvement experience to her role, with a background in interior design, specifically kitchen and bath. She is excited to bring that same passion for stunning, functional spaces to the outdoors. A lifelong pool lover, she understands the simple joys a pool brings, from swimming to relaxing to entertaining.
Originally from Germany, Rachel has called Colorado home for over 32 years since moving to the United States for college. Like many of our clients, she loves the outdoors and can often be found on a trail or her bike. Rachel is a proud mom of two boys, ages 23 and 25, and a pup named Stella.
